Gorham Coin Silver Butter Dish

Circa 1855-1860 mark for Gorham, retailed by Geo. C. Shreve & Co. of San Francisco, oval form with finely cast handles to body, retaining the original pierced liner, the domed cover featuring oval portrait medallions to each side and surmounted by a removable cast silver rampant lion, model number 190, no monogram.
