1998, two part form, the black and white painted pine desk features a slant lid with divided interior centered by a battery operated clock, over three drawers, raised on ball casters; the hutch has two cabinet doors, both overlaid with similar architectural paintings as well as numerous expressive faces and gesturing hands; both pieces are signed and dated.

Inspired by the whimsy and wit of Piero Fornasetti, MaryLou Higgins created a very limited collection of hand-painted furniture featuring her sybil like figures amidst classical architecture.
White paint on the proper right side of the desk; hutch with several brown stains to the top; some yellowing to the varnish.
