French Terrestrial Floor Globe by E. Girard, Paris

Circa 1920s, the un-dated cartouche reading, "Globe Terrestre Echelle du 20.000 000e (1 millimetre = 20 Km) / Dressé par E. Girard Geographe - Editeur Mon Forest 17 Rue de Buci (Paris)"; the globe is set in an all-brass stand having full meridian and horizon bands also of brass.

Globe 26 in. diameter; DOA 49 X 31 in.

Overall light browning with scattered stains throughout; some moderate chipping to the map between the Hawaiian Islands and the Philippines; a few spots of green verdigris on the horizon band.
