Possibly Kentucky, mid-19th century, unmarked 39 in. octagonal barrel with approximately 8mm bore, fixed front and rear sights, engraved lockplate with GOULCHER stamp below hammer, double-set triggers, maple stock with brass furniture and 18 fancy inlays, mostly of German silver; wooden ramrod.
Southern Private Collection Deep natural patina to most elements; some old powder flash corrosion to barrel and lockplate; allover dings to stock from normal use; old hairline repair from left shoulder forward; good estate condition.
