Lot Details & Additional Photographs
VIN: F-869137 F-626303 Mileage: 3 miles showing
with an L-head inline 230-cubic-inch six cylinder engine with 95 horsepower and a three speed manual transmission.
Car was refreshed with a restoration many years ago and still shows very well. The exterior paint in dark maroon shows well, and the interior in dark brown velvet interior is in remarkable condition. Features suicide doors and the back seat of the car is enormous with foot rests on the rear of the front seat. After many years in dry storage it was treated to a cleaning of the fuel tank and lines, the carburetor was rebuilt and a new six volt battery installed. The interior only needed a light cleaning, and the faux woodgrain looks remarkably real.
The 1937 Oldsmobile was a major redesign so the 1938 bears few changes. The dashboard was very futuristic for the time, featuring the gauges in front of the driver along with "Buck Rogers" style steering wheel and controls.
