Etching and drypoint on laid paper, 1640, a 17th century/lifetime impression of Bartsch’s second state (of 2), Hind, Biörklund-Barnard and Usticke’s second state (of 3), sheet bears a portion of the "Coat of Arms of Amsterdam" watermark (Ash/Fletcher 1.G.a; Hinterding G.a.a., which is similar to the impression housed in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York), matted and framed. Bartsch 265 ii/ii; Hind 170 ii/iii; Biorklund-Barnard 40-A ii/iii.

Ex-collection Ducs d’Arenberg (German-Belgian, 18th, 19th and 20th centuries) with their collection stamp [Lugt 567] in blue ink on the verso.

Overall excellent condition; a clear and crisp printing. Small, shallow spot of skinning at lower right; spot upper right, and few additional very faint spots; few areas that appear to be sheet imperfections; trimmed slightly within the platemark on all four sides. Minute edge chip to frame glass.
