16th century, two-part form, oak secondary, banded top, raised molded surround, slant front lid with central star inlay and herringbone banded edge, divided and drawered interior with sliding writing panel, loper supports, over two banded drawers, set on original base with ogee molded edge, cockbeaded skirt, on turned legs with stretcher base.
