Washington, D. C., December 5, 1851, one page, oblong (4 x 7.25 in.), to Mr. Henry I. Simmons, n.p., reading, "Dear Sir, In compliance with your request I send you my Autograph. Yours truly S. A,. Douglas."

Stephens, "the Little Giant," is best known for his heated debates with Abraham Lincoln before and during the 1860 presidential campaign.
