Southern Pine Sideboard

Attributed to eastern North Carolina, early 19th century, yellow pine, white pine, and poplar primary and secondary woods, rectangular top, two upper-side-by-side projecting lipped drawers above one long lipped drawer, above two hinged paneled cabinet doors, double paneled sides, square tapered feet from the stile.

Drawers with butt joint and cut nail construction. A nice country interpretation of the Federal style.

Refinished; top with staining; later pulls; right small drawer with one-inch lip cut and repair; later hinges; chew and loss at corners of both doors.
