Cybis Limited Edition Porcelain Chess Set

After a figural set presented to the USSR by President Richard Nixon in 1972. This set is number five of ten made, each piece being signed © Cybis #5. Inspired by the Nine Heroes Tapestries in the Cloisters at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art , the high quality porcelain medieval court figures have jewel-like enameling, gilt accents and painted colors. The set is presented in a custom velvet lined footed wooden box.
