Circa 1760-70, shaped crest rail with ears, crest and stiles with exterior scratch bead, shaped vasiform backsplat set within molded shoe, upholstered slip seat, scalloped front skirt rail, shaped side rails, cabriole legs with carved drake feet, chamfered downswept rear legs.

From the Collection of Colonel and Mrs. Gordon Roberts, Fayetteville, North Carolina Retaining an old crazed dark surface with pegged mortise and tenon joint construction and through tenon side rails to the rear stiles.
Later upholstery; replaced rear corner brace block; shrinkage crack to left rear side rail at stiles; overall good estate condition.
