A Pair of Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Gu Vases

Both bear Jiajing period (1522-66) six character marks near rim of vase, classic Ming decoration in underglaze cobalt blue of peony blossoms with scrolling vines, finely painted dragons amidst clouds, horses frolicking over waves between a trio of mountain peaks, the dark blue outline to painting with dark and light washes of cobalt blue.
