Meiji period (1868-1912), porcelain barbed rim hexagonal shaped charger hand painted in underglaze blue with the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac around the border with double gourds and flowers in the surround, the center with a decorative medallion, exterior hand painted with auspicious bats, coins, and longevity symbols, four characters to underside.
