19th century, rectangular form with hinged lid, later interior metal lining, unusual curved support, turned standard, trefoil base with carved hairy paw feet, on casters, allover burgundy lacquer with gilt highlight.

Later interior metal lining; crazing and lifting to lacquered surface with areas of loss and fill; hairline crack to rear foot.
