Antique English Chinoiserie Side Chair and Low Table

Late 19th century, chair with carved and gilt crest rail , vasiform backsplat, with raised and painted decoration of pagoda in landscape, with red damask tufted seat, with shell carved rail, on cabriole legs with gilt highlight; together with a a circular tray, decorated with figures with baskets, later glass top and faux bamboo stand.

Chair 39 x 20 x 17 in.; Table 18 x 18.5 in. diameter

Chair with later upholstery; some paint loss; missing both side knee returns; table with loss and crazing to lacquer.
