Ming dynasty (1368-1644), finely cast in the form of two Mandarin ducks, side by side, one forward facing and the other with its neck turned towards the back, raised on a naturalistic base with grapes and fauna, covers on the back of each duck, Mandarin ducks are an auspicious symbol of marital fidelity and longevity in Chinese culture.
