From the Collection of James H. Craig and Randy S. Johnson, Sarasota, Florida Born in Ireland, Edward Gay emigrated as a young child with his family to New York in 1848. A successful artist during his lifetime, he is best known for his many Barbizon style landscapes of Westchester County.
