The seal with London hallmarks, period script monogram to handle and unknown armorial seal to base (1.2 troy oz., 2 7/8 in.) (with denting); the silverplate lighter marked "Dunhill / Made in England / Cartier Licensed," engraved "July 4th 1936" to one side (2.5 in.) (minor nicking).

By descent from the John Jacob Astor IV family of Rhinebeck, New York, through William Astor Drayton, the father of Countess Margaret (Peggy) Reventlow, philanthropist and patron of services for the blind
