Oil on canvas (lined), unsigned, inscribed on the verso "Robert Edwards DD / Rector of Kibworth / Beachamp/ 1642-43" and with a hand-written sheet reading "The Reverend Robert Edwards DD. / He was Rector of Kibworth Beauchamp / in Leicestershire from 1662 to 1704, where / a monument in the Church records his death / on the 27th of April 1704, aged 91./ Robert Edwards = Alice Goddard / Rev.
