.577 caliber, barrel cut down to 27 in., the lock plate dated 1862, walnut stock, brass trigger guard and butt plate; illegible maker's cartouche (likely from Birmingham) on right side of butt; inventory number 6077 A stamped on butt plate tang; left side of butt plate carved "J. R. Riley," underside of butt with "C. V. James," a large "CAMERON" deeply carved on left side of stock, and a bold "ANNA" carved in front of the trigger guard.

Hammer engages in one position and responds to the trigger; overall rusting; remnants of gold paint on trigger guard; green verdigris on butt plate; overall poor condition.
