Being The Divine Comedy of Dante Alighieri, in English as translated by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (Leipzig: Bernhard Tachnitz, 1867), 3 volumes, vellum boards, 18mo (6.25 x 4.5 in.), each with gilt red morocco title plate on spine, marbled endpapers.

The Tachnitz edition of Longfellow's Dante was issued concurrently, if not earlier, than the 1867 Boston edition by Ticknor and Fields.

Light soiling and shelf wear to the boards; internally clean with tight binding; gilt intact; overall fine condition.
