Chippendale Carved Mahogany Side Chair

Circa 1780, shaped crest rail with relief carving, pierced back splat with Gothic arches and relief carved acanthus leaves, slip seat with molded seat rail, raised on front straight legs with molded edge and inside chamfer, stretcher base.

37 x 21.5 x 18 in.

Later upholstery; break and repairs to back splat; cut and loss to front right interior corner of seat rail; all four feet have been tipped.
