750cc horizontal three cylinder engine with optional ABS and standard fuel injection. This is a relatively smooth and refined engine in comparison to the classic BMW two cylinder boxer engine. A single-sided swingarm encloses the drive shaft on the right side. The 4-into-1 all stainless steel exhaust exits on the left hand side. With rear disc brake, self-cancelling turn signal lights, and 17" rear wheels as equipped on the RT touring models.

The RT model also came with full fairings, windshield, and side mounted hard cases. The hard cases are present, along with a large rear case, and large tank bag. An aftermarket windshield has been added. The first owner removed the fairings to give it a more "naked" look, and replaced the instrument panel, lights, and radiator with factory parts. The radiator from a K100 was used for improved cooling with the fairings removed. This bike retains its original Classic Black Metallic (670) paint and has never been laid on the ground. The paint appears like a dark graphite with all of the metal flake present, and shows nicely without scratches.
