Qing dynasty (1644-1912), a panel of a picturesque landscape skillfully executed in various stitches and techniques, centered with a large scholar's rock and figures to the left crossing a bridge with a fisherman below amidst ducks and lotus plants, on the right side are two scholars with an attendant on the river shore under flowering trees and a pavilion, panel has been cut vertically down the center into two sections, but framed together, not examined outside of the frame.
DOA 22.5 x 32.75 in.
Some areas of discoloration to right side of panel, the left side of panel has some small dark spots in various places; some tears and pulls to lower portion; embroidery itself in very good condition; an area of wear to top of frame.
