Second half 19th century, the first with EDWARD MIDDLETON on both lockplates and LAMINATED STEEL 1XL No3 between the 30.5 in. barrels, checkered walnut stock with iron and German silver mounts (action not tested; barrels somewhat loose; overall wear and oxidation, lacking ramrod; poor condition); the second marked London Twist between the barrels; walnut stock with traces of faux checkering (wood loss to fore; lockplate and hammer loose and secured by wire; overall oxidation with some pitting; ramrod absent, poor condition).
