An oblong dish in the form of a dragon with elaborate 24 KT gold embellishment, the dragon's head and front legs are decorated with a gold fishnet pattern with the body having a paneled design of assorted flowers on a black ground, with flower sprays on the interior. The dragon's ears, mouth and tongue are painted turquoise with the nose and paws gilded.

The Black Dynasty Collection designs were based on creations of the Japanese Kakiemon porcelain. This pattern was first introduced for the Queen of Hungary in the 1850's.
