Jean-Achille Benouville (French, 1815-1891), Two Landscape Drawings

The first a view of a city from the countryside, stamped at left middle paper edge; the second a study of a tree grove, stamped at lower middle paper edge; both works are graphite and white chalk heightening on gray toned paper, double matted behind glass, and presented in a gilt wood and composition frame.

DOA 18.75 x 26.5 in. and 20.75 x 27.5 in.

Good estate condition, both with slight cockling to paper and very subtle scattered foxing. The view of a city shows light creasing along left side of the paper.
