Jean-Achille Benouville (French, 1815-1891), Two Landscape Studies

The first is a landscape study of trees and shrubbery, graphite and white chalk heightening on gray toned paper; the second is a tree study, charcoal and white chalk heightening on gray toned paper; both are stamped at lower left and double matted behind glass and presented in a gilt wood and composition frame.

DOA 17 3/8 x 25 5/8 in. and 24.75 x 21.5 in.

Good estate condition, both with slight cockling to paper and very subtle scattered foxing.
