A Four Gallon Edgefield District, South Carolina, Pottery Jug

Attributed to Thomas Chandler, circa 1850, light olive alkaline glazed ovoid form having a flat spout and strap handle with finger print terminus, the front is decorated with a slip-trailed kaolin floral blossom wreath surrounding a "4", unmarked.
