Attributed to Virginia (Shenandoah Valley), late 18th century, poplar secondary, one piece dovetailed case with applied molded cornice with dentil molding, three side-by-side short drawers above two side-by-side drawers above four long drawers all graduated, dovetailed and lipped; straight feet from the solid with applied shaped ogee bracket feet with spur.
70.5 x 43 x 24 in.; Case width 40 in.
Break and loss to right rear cornice edge; break and repair to left side cornice; replaced brasses in original holes; bottom two drawers with rebuilt runners; all drawer glides replaced; later central full dust board; second bottom drawer missing lock; no key; original feet, but with hairline cracks and repairs; chip and loss to upper center drawer case edge; finish inconsistency throughout.
