Sixteen Confederate $5 T-69 Notes in Postwar Southern Express Envelope

February 17, 1864 issue, featuring Secretary of the Treasury Christopher Memminger's portrait below a vignette of the Confederate capitol building in Richmond, the notes having been stored in an 1870s Southern Express cash envelope from Alabama, its back penciled "Confederate money."
