.50-70 caliber centerfire, 36 in. round barrel with two bands, fore and rear sights; stamped "ESA" cartouche on left side of walnut stock, iron mounts, two sling swivels, cleaning rod, right side of frame with eagle above U.S. / SPRINGFIELD / 1872, left side with MODEL 1871; top tang stamped REMINGTON'S PATENT. PAT. MAY 3d, NOV. 15th, 1864, APRIL 17th, 1868.

Working action; metal bright with a very few spots of oxidation; overall good condition with expected dings and wear from normal use.
