Circa 1800, mahogany veneer, oak and pine secondary, two-part form, upper secretary case with molded and arched mullioned glass doors surmounted by a central carved shell plinth flanked by applied molded pediment, shelved interior, the base with pull-out fall front butler's desk featuring central prospect door, six small drawers and six pigeon holes above three cockbeaded graduated drawers, scalloped skirt, on French feet.

Upper pediment C-scroll sides to left and right are later; shell and applied scroll molding later; top of base with shrinkage cracks to left front side and at middle; later felt writing surface to butler's drawer; replaced pulls with plug holes; wear at front feet; minor veneer chips and losses throughout.
