January 31, 1942, Frank W. Falla, Acting Editor, 4 pages, small folio (16.75 in.), the front page full of "news" touting Hitler's brilliance and Germany's military prowess; inside pages with local announcements, including advertisements for German language films at local cinemas.

A private New York collection

The Star Acting Editor Frank Falla was a Guernsey native imprisoned for covertly spreading BBC news reports via GUNS (Guernsey Underground News Service). Falla survived his captivity and became a tenacious advocate for the rights of Germany's wartime victims. He died in 1983. Today, copies of The Star published under Falla are rather scarce.

Age toning with marginal splits at the centerfold; good condition.
