Both of carved wood, the first consisting of a hornbill bird standing on a tortoise while carrying a large vessel, the separate lid of which is surmounted by a standing rooster (26 x 9 x 14 in.) (Drying cracks; wear to extremities and minor chips; good condition overall); the second a narrow carved jar with a figural lid, the body being a section of light wood or bamboo that is intricately etched and stained to depict a human figure, enigmatic text, and a decorative panel (10 in.) (good condition).
