Michael Brown is a noted landscape painter and muralist based in North Carolina. His murals are found throughout North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Florida, Chicago, New York and Baltimore. He received his BFA from UNC-Chapel Hill, followed by a fellowship at the Fine Arts Work Center in Providence, Massachusetts. He held teaching positions at the Guggenheim Museum in New York and at Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina.
