Sam Smith, Amityville Long Island, New York. Some of the famous Swan Island Club decoys by Sam Smith landed in North Carolina in November of 1870 . A group of NY sportsmen were aboard the sailing yacht "Anonyona" when it ran aground beside Swan Island during a severe storm. The Swan Island Club was formed at this site. This decoy is branded I T which is different than the typical Swan Island Club brands. This exact decoy is published on page 108 of
Gunnin' Birds by Kroghie Andresen.
