Folksy Snow Goose, Eastern Shore Virginia or North Carolina.

This incredible silhouette carving of a very early snow goose is the epitome of fine folk art. Three pieces of wood were laminated to create the body and wonderful bill carving defines the head. The maker is unknown but he provided the decoy community a masterpiece with this example. Virginia, pre-1900.
