Harry Vinucksen Shourds (1861-1920), Tuckerton, New Jersey. Hollow and in untouched original scratch feather painting. Shourds is the most well known of all NJ decoy carvers and is one of the earliest. He was a market hunter and his wife used the feathers to make pillows. This is a true masterwork by one of America's most iconic decoy makers.
