J. Robert Burnell grew up along the western branch of the Elizabeth River in Norfolk County, Virginia. A prolific artist, his landscapes are based on historical and personal research of Tidewater Virginia.

Light toning and fading; overall in good estate condition. Not examined out of the frame.
