Southern Chippendale Walnut Blanket Chest

Early 19th century, yellow pine and poplar secondary, hinged top with applied molded edge, interior with lidded till featuring a sliding panel with hidden drawer, dovetailed case with two lower lipped drawers on shaped bracket feet.

Restoration throughout; top with later battens; loose left hinge; shrinkage crack and patch to left side of case; no key; later feet and bracing to underside.
