Lead-filled brass with iron loops, both plates with matching glossy brown 5patinas, the back of the cartridge box plate marked by maker "W. H. WILKINSON / SPRINGFIELD, MASS" and inspector "T. J. SHEPHARD."

Belt plate 57 x 88mm; breast plate 67mm

Recovered in Petersburg, Virginia area, late 1960s-early 1980s

Well-struck and attractive; maker/inspector stampings obscured by rust; all loops save one are absent.
