Clive Kay is known for his naturalistic portrayals of animals often found on safari in Africa. He grew up on a large farm in Zimbabwe, and was inspired by his father's love of nature. The Walt Disney Company commissioned Kay to complete a painting for the opening of The Animal Kingdom in 1988.
