Born in Russia, Joseph Raskin immigrated to the United States and settled in New York City. He studied at the National Academy of Design. He exhibited at the Salons of American Artists, Society of Independent Artists, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Association of American Artist, Corcoran Gallery Biennials, and many others.
