First half of 19th century, mahogany veneers, the first a rectangular form with slanted panel lid, inlaid wood escutcheon and parquetry borders, opens to three lidded compartments with gray papered interiors, raised on four compressed ball feet (5 3/4 x 10 1/2 x 5 3/4 in.) (wear and scratches to veneer surfaces, missing two pulls to interior compartments); the second with tapered rectangular form and domed lid, inlaid round brass escutcheon, interior with red papered lid and hand painted label, opens to two lidded compartments with wood ball pulls, raised on four disc feet. (4 3/4 x 9 x 4 3/4 in.) (scratches to veneer, wear to corners, later paint to lid ); without keys.
