Chinese Carved and Caned Long Low Table / Bench

Late 19th century, hardwood, rectangular top with conforming inset caned interior, cove molded edge above a relief carved shaped skirt featuring vine and foliate design, raised on four bold shaped feet with conforming carved motif, the back legs not carved on the rear side.

Now with custom 1/4 in. thick glass top; old but later caning now with a one small break; later metal supports to the underside; shrinkage crack to the front left leg; minor expected edge wear.
