Circa 1740, the brass face engraved "Roger Dunster, Amsterdam" within a Roman numeral chapter ring, with second hand plus date and moon dial, applied brass spandrels; above are calendar apertures over a moon phase dial that is flanked by painted renderings of two musicians that were added in the 19th century; the interior with brass time and strike movement enhanced by an array of eleven bells; the hood with applied fretwork and arched door with figural trumpeting figures; the case: with oak and pine secondary, featuring a waist door with oval window and highly figured burl veneers, set on a bombe inlaid base with chamfered corners, book-matched high grade burl veneers and raised on turned suppressed ball front feet, three brass weights, pendulum and winding key are included.
