Oil on canvas, twice inscribed to verso "Young Men and Horses / Kenneth Bates," retains two exhibition labels to verso (the first label for the Allied Artists of America 1933 and with hand-written note indicating it was recieved too late for inclusion; the second label for the Corcoran exhibition), presented in a period carved and gilt frame.
