Each hand-painted with a realistic representation of a plant from Denmark, to include four pierced large dinner plates #3526 (10 1/2 in.) and two pierced dinner plates #3553 (10 in.); Royal Copenhagen back stamp.

The name Flora Danica is derived from a comprehensive atlas of botany containing folio-sized pictures of all the wild plants native to Denmark in the period from 1761 to 1883.
