Circa 1780, oak secondary, featuring a shaped by simple crest rail, vasiform pierced back splat with central cut-out heart, set within a molded straight shoe, upholstered slip seat, flush seat rails, square straight molded front legs with inside chamfer, flush edge stretcher base, down-swept rear legs.
38 x 20 x 18 in.; Seat height 18.5 in.
A nice matched set with heart motif and a warm mellow patina.
Old but later upholstery in fair condition; some chipping and minor wood loss at bottom of leg; some later knee brace blocks; six knee corners with tight hairline cracks and minor repair; overall very good estate condition.
